Olsen Glass Designs LLC ("Olsen Glass Designs," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of its customers and visitors. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information collected through olsenglassdesigns.com (the "Site"), the purposes for which it is used, the parties with whom it is shared, and the rights and choices available to individuals.

By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree to the collection and use of information described herein.

1. Information We Collect

Information Provided Directly

  • Account information. Information provided when registering a member account, including name, email address, and password (hashed by Wix and not accessible to Olsen Glass Designs in plain text).

  • Order information. Information provided at checkout, including name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, and payment details (processed by Wix Payments, as described below).

  • Newsletter subscription. If a visitor elects to opt in to marketing communications, the email address provided. The subscription checkbox is not selected by default.

  • Direct correspondence. The contents of any email sent to amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com or message sent through Facebook, including any details voluntarily provided.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Site analytics. Wix's built-in analytics records pages visited, time spent on the Site, referring URLs, device type, browser type, and approximate geographic location (city-level, derived from IP address).

  • Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are used to maintain login sessions, persist cart contents, and support analytics. Cookies may be disabled through browser settings; certain Site functionality may be unavailable when cookies are disabled.

  • Anti-bot data. Google reCAPTCHA v3 is invoked on add-to-cart actions to detect automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects browser-side signals (including mouse movement, scroll behavior, and IP address) in accordance with Google's terms. Olsen Glass Designs receives only the resulting pass/fail score and not the underlying signals.

Information Received From Third Parties

  • Payment processors. Card payments are processed by Wix Payments. Apple Pay payments are tokenized on the customer's device and transmitted through Wix Payments for settlement. PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. Olsen Glass Designs does not receive full card numbers, Apple Pay device tokens, or PayPal account credentials. Olsen Glass Designs receives only the information necessary to confirm and reconcile payment, including a tokenized payment confirmation, the last four digits of the card where applicable, and the cardholder or account holder's name and billing address.

  • Shippo and shipping carriers. When a shipping label is purchased, the shipping address and package details are transmitted to Shippo and to the selected carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) for label generation, delivery, and tracking.

2. How Information Is Used

Information collected through the Site is used for the following purposes:

  • Processing and fulfilling orders

  • Providing customer support

  • Sending order confirmations, shipping updates, and account notifications

  • Sending marketing communications, but only to individuals who have opted in

  • Operating the Site, preventing fraud, and enforcing the Site's Terms & Conditions

  • Complying with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations

  • Detecting and preventing automated abuse, including enforcement of per-customer purchase limits and oversell prevention

3. Information Sharing

Olsen Glass Designs does not sell or rent personal information.

Information is shared with the following service providers solely as necessary to operate the business:

Information may also be disclosed where required by law (including in response to subpoena or court order) or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Olsen Glass Designs LLC, its customers, or the public.

In the event of a sale, merger, or other corporate transaction involving Olsen Glass Designs LLC, customer information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity. Affected individuals will be notified prior to such transfer.

4. Customer Choices and Rights

Marketing Communications

Subscribers may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com.

Account Access

Members may log in to olsenglassdesigns.com to review, update, or delete account information. Requests for full account deletion may be submitted by email.

Cookies

Cookies may be managed or disabled through browser settings. Certain Site functionality may be unavailable when cookies are disabled.

State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia, among others — have rights under applicable state privacy law, which may include:

  • The right to know what personal information is held about them

  • The right to request a copy of such information

  • The right to request deletion of such information

  • The right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (Olsen Glass Designs does not sell personal information)

Requests may be submitted by email to amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Identity verification may be required prior to fulfillment. Olsen Glass Designs does not discriminate against individuals who exercise their privacy rights.

Connecticut Residents (CTDPA)

Residents of Connecticut have additional rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, including the right of access, correction, deletion, data portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising and profiling. Such rights may be exercised by contacting Olsen Glass Designs at the address provided above.

5. Data Retention

Order records and tax-related data are retained for the period required by applicable law, which is typically seven (7) years. Member account information is retained until the member requests deletion. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until the subscriber elects to unsubscribe.

6. Information Security

The Site relies on Wix's hosting and payment infrastructure, which incorporates industry-standard encryption practices, including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest for sensitive fields. No system is fully secure, however, and Olsen Glass Designs cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting personal information, Olsen Glass Designs will provide notice as required by applicable law.

7. Children

The Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and Olsen Glass Designs does not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through the Site, they may contact Olsen Glass Designs and the information will be promptly deleted.

8. International Visitors

The Site is operated from the United States. Personal information collected through the Site is processed and stored in the United States and may not be subject to the same legal protections as those of the visitor's country of residence.

9. Modifications to This Policy

Olsen Glass Designs LLC reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to members and newsletter subscribers via email.
