Shipping Policy

This policy governs the shipment of orders placed on olsenglassdesigns.com. Pieces purchased through Whatnot, authorized retail partners, or brick-and-mortar locations are shipped in accordance with the policies of the originating seller.

Glass is a fragile medium; orders are packed with appropriate protective materials.

For information regarding refunds for pieces that arrive damaged, please refer to the Return & Refund Policy.

Shipping Destinations

  • United States. Olsen Glass Designs ships to all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses.

  • International. Shipping is offered to select countries. The current list is available at checkout. International shipments may be subject to customs duties, value-added taxes, and import fees collected by the destination country, the responsibility for which rests with the recipient.

Carriers and Rates

Shipping is administered through Shippo, which selects from major carriers — typically USPS, UPS, or FedEx — based on package characteristics and destination. Rates displayed at checkout are calculated in real time based on package weight, dimensions, and the destination address.

For fragile pieces, Olsen Glass Designs may upgrade the selected service at its discretion, without additional charge to the customer, where the originally selected service is not suitable for the contents.

Free shipping is not generally available, as fragile-glass packaging and handling represent real costs that are not absorbed into product pricing.

Handling Time

Standard (In-Stock) Orders

In-stock pieces ship within 3–5 business days of order placement. A confirmation email with tracking information is provided once the shipping label is generated.

Drops and Preorders

Drop and preorder pieces ship after Olsen Glass Designs receives the corresponding production from its supplier. Receipt and ship dates are dependent on supplier and freight schedules and cannot be guaranteed at the time of purchase.

The expected ship date for each drop will be announced on olsenglassdesigns.com at or near the close of the drop window. Announced dates are estimates and remain subject to change based on production, freight, and customs timing outside of Olsen Glass Designs' direct control. Customers will receive an updated shipping confirmation by email when their order is dispatched.

By placing a preorder or drop order, the customer acknowledges that ship dates are not fixed at the time of purchase and that Olsen Glass Designs cannot guarantee delivery by any specific date.

Tracking

Tracking information is provided by email once the shipping label is generated. If a tracking notification has not been received within one business day of shipping confirmation, the customer should review the spam or junk folder of the email account on file. If the notification cannot be located, please contact amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com with the order number.

Packaging

Each piece is shipped in protective packaging that includes:

  • Internal cushioning sized and shaped for the piece (foam, paper fill, or molded inserts)

  • A sturdy outer box providing a buffer between the glass and the box walls

  • Fragile labeling on the exterior of the box

Customers are advised to open packages carefully. In the event a piece appears damaged, the box and packing materials should be retained, and the box exterior photographed before unpacking. The photographic documentation described in the Return & Refund Policy is required to verify the damage and process a refund.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping addresses at checkout. Olsen Glass Designs ships to the address provided.

If an address error is identified prior to shipment, the customer should contact amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com promptly. Olsen Glass Designs will make commercially reasonable efforts to correct the address before the package is dispatched.

If a package is returned to Olsen Glass Designs due to an incorrect or insufficient address, the customer will be contacted. The customer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping. Should the customer prefer to cancel and receive a refund in lieu of re-shipping, Olsen Glass Designs will refund the order amount, less the original shipping charges, which have already been disbursed to the carrier.

Lost or Misdelivered Packages

If carrier tracking indicates delivery but the package has not been received:

  1. Confirm with neighbors, building staff, and members of the household.

  2. Allow 24 hours, as carriers occasionally mark packages as delivered slightly in advance of the actual handoff.

  3. If the package remains missing after 24 hours, file a claim directly with the carrier using the tracking number, and notify Olsen Glass Designs at amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com so we can support your claim with shipping documentation.

Olsen Glass Designs is not responsible for packages confirmed delivered to the address provided at checkout. Customers are encouraged to ship to a secure address — one with daytime occupancy, a doorman, or a P.O. Box.

International Orders

International shipments are subject to the following additional considerations:

  • Customs and duties. Customs duties, value-added taxes, and import fees are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. These charges are not collected by Olsen Glass Designs.

  • Lead times. International deliveries typically require 2 to 6 weeks longer than comparable domestic deliveries, depending on destination country and customs processing.

  • Damage claims. International damage claims follow the standard process described in the Return & Refund Policy. Refunds are processed through Wix Payments to the original method of payment.

  • Customs declarations. Olsen Glass Designs does not under-declare the value of international shipments or mark commercial goods as gifts. Such practices constitute customs fraud and may result in seizure of the package.

Drop Shipping Schedule

Orders placed during a drop do not ship within the standard 3–5 business day handling time applicable to in-stock pieces. Drop and preorder pieces ship only after the corresponding production has been received from the supplier and the order has been packed. The expected ship date for each drop will be announced on olsenglassdesigns.com once available and is subject to change. Drop shipments are dispatched in waves as each batch is packed; tracking notifications may be received by customers in a sequence that does not correspond exactly to the order in which orders were placed.

Carrier Delays

Carriers may occasionally experience delays caused by weather, holidays, or operational issues. Once a package has been transferred to the carrier, Olsen Glass Designs has no ability to expedite delivery. Reasonable assistance will be provided in tracing delayed shipments. Compensation for carrier delays — as distinct from in-transit damage — is generally not available unless a guaranteed-delivery service was purchased.
